Youth Committee Laguna Niguel
Members
Ileana Avila
Ileana is a Junior at Dana Hills High School. This is her third year serving on the Laguna Niguel Youth Committee . She is currently the President of the Dana Hills Robotics Team as well as a member of the Surfrider Foundation. In addition to volunteering at city events, Ileana Is a volunteer for the student-run Buddy Basketball Program and is a member of the Mykonos String Quartet. Ileana would like to provide information about the current events of our city by promoting the opportunities to her peers. She would also like to build on the social media platform of the Youth Committee and increase outreach efforts by encouraging a larger social media audience.

Matthew Bermingham
Matthew is a Sophomore at Dana Hills High School. Last year he was the Freshman class president which allowed him to organize many class events. He is also a member of CSF and Best Buddies. Matthew is looking forward to encouraging teens to get involved in city events.

Makayla Brown
Makayla is a Junior at the Orange County School of the Arts. She participates in a variety of clubs at her new school and plans on establishing an Artist's Alliances Club this year to unite creative minds and inspire students to spread the arts and develop new opportunities in their communities. Makayla looks forward to enhancing more Arts Programming in the annual Music & Arts Festival.

Sean Casey
Sean is a Senior at Aliso Niguel High School. He was the Captain of the JV Waterpolo Team as well as being on the JV Swim Team, and was the recipient of the Teal Cares Award. He is also an assistant in the Orange County Junior Lifeguard program teaching ocean safety. Sean is looking forward to planning and organizing programs as well as developing useful job skills.

Lauren Chou
Lauren Chou is a Sophomore at Aliso Niguel High School where she is a member of Key Club, Leo Club, Red Cross and UNICEF. Lauren enjoys giving back to the community in small and large ways by helping people and making connections with them. Pediatric Dentistry is one possible career choice, Lauren "likes working with kids and feel best and happiest when I can assist others in feeling better about themselves."

Nick Drossel
Nick is a Sophomore at Dana Hills High School. He was a Rep-at-Large in ASB at Niguel Hills Middle School and was the Orchestra council president. He will be participating in the Dana Hills ASU on the Fine Arts Recognition Committee this year. He volunteers as a tutor at the Laguna Niguel Library for children in kindergarten through 6th grade every week. Nick is looking forward to improving his leadership skills and showing people that teens can have a big impact on the community.

Natalie Glennon
Natalie is a Junior at Aliso Niguel High School where she is a member of California Scholarship Federation and the Copy Editor of the high school newspaper. Natalie has volunteered at Beach Clean Ups, with St. Timothy's Catholic Church and at both The Earth Day Celebration and The Bunny Bonanza. Natalie is looking forward to pursuing a career in Psychology.

Nikki Minagar
Nikki is a Senior at Dana Hills High School. She has held past positions of ASB President of her student body, and President of the California Junior Scholarship Federation. Nikki is involved in local community service events across the city. She is looking forward to enhancing activities for teens in our community.

Skylar is a Sophomore at Dana Hills High School. He is a member of  the California Junior Scholorship Foundation and a member of the Dana Hills Robotics Team. He is also a member of the Lionsheart Organization and Orange County Junior Lifeguards. Skylar is looking forward to working with other members to organize fun and relevant activities for teens.

Alex Probolsky
Alex is a Sophomore at Aliso Niguel High School. He was a leading member of his schools debate team last year and this year he is the lead of the school News Team. He volunteers regularly through city events and hopes to pursue a career in public service. Alex is looking forward to raising awareness of city-sponsored youth events and opportunities.

Mason is a Junior at JSerra Catholic High School. He has been a part of club sport as well as being an ambassador at school. Mason is looking forward to bringing character and personality to the city of Laguna Niguel as well as raising safety awareness for teens.

Alyssa Siegel
Alyssa is a Senior at Dana Hills High School. She is and avid writer and loves to use her words to help readers in need of guidance. Alyssa looks forward to creating creative new events for the youth in her community. Recently, Alyssa successfully organized The Pizza with Police Event for Teens through Police Services; she is also interested in participating in the campaign against teen drug abuse. As an intern for California State Senator, Patricia Bates, Alyssa is gaining political experience that will assist here as she pursues a major in Political Science and her goals of being a Congresswoman.

Elena Singh
Elena is a Senior at Dana Hills High School where she is a member of the California Scholarship Federation. Elena has been a medical intern at a local clinic where she learned the basics of medical survey and skills such as how to take vitals, record medical information and establish a good bedside manner. Elena hopes to pursue a career in Neurology in America and in developing countries.

John Stensby
John is a Senior at Santa Margarita Catholic School. He is an elected member of his school's Associated Student Body. John is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. He is excited in helping to create activities that teens can enjoy in Laguna Niguel.

Kyle Wade
Kyle is a Junior at Dana Hills High School where he is a member of California Scholarship Federation, the Robotics Team and he is the Jazz Band ensemble's piano player. In his free time, Kyle plays the piano for the senior citizens at Freedom Village retirement home in Lake Forest. In addition to his passion for music, Kyle is also interested in computer programming and coding. In the future, Kyle hopes to pursue a major in Computer Science and Engineering.
