On December 1, 2016, the Laguna Niguel Youth Committee met in the City Council Chambers. The Committee discussed the Holiday Parade, with a meeting time of 8 am, on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the City Hall parking lot. It was voted unanimously that girls would wear red sweaters and boys would wear green sweaters, while riding the Segways. Head decorations (such as reindeer antlers or Santa hats) were deemed optional. Next, the importance of publicity was emphasized for the Committee’s “High School Study Space” program. Various marketing methods were discussed and will be implemented immediately. The dates were confirmed for the High School Job and College Fair, Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 10 am-12 pm, and the Music and Arts Festival, Friday, May 19, 2017, from 6-10 pm. Members reviewed their involvement and committed to attending the discussed events. The next meeting will be on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 7 pm in the City Council Chambers.
